Reasonable shipping time

What would you do dudes and dudettes consider to be a reasonable shipping time if you buy something off ebay. From the day you pay and lets say you pay immediately and the time it takes the seller to ship it. What would you consider excessive?

I bought something off ebay for right at $500, paid immediately and never heard a word from the seller. I finally email him just asking if it's been shipped yet. No problems contacting him or receiving a reply, but I think 5 days to get around to shipping something is a bit much.

I would agree, but sometimes I have had to wait a week or so. Not cool, but some sellers wait so they only have to make one trip to the PO or UPS.

I tell clients to expect 2 days for packing max, then however long USPS/FedEx takes. I usually start/end auctions on Friday nights for this reason, then I have all weekend to get stuff together for shipping on Monday morning. Newbies might drag their @sses, which isn't cool.

Nonetheless, it's kind of hard to make an arguement to flame a guy because he took a week to ship! Caveat emptor!

It varies. You are at mercy of the selller. I have had times where I could not find the right box and it delayed my shipping. As long as you have good commincation with the seller, you should be OK.

I shipped a guitar on the9th of december and it arrived the 3rd of Jan no chit!

Remember sometimes its the service not the seller! However if hes draggin feet kick some nuts!@

I send stuff out right away and I expect the same. If someone pays you for something, it's now theirs and they have a right to have it and soon !!!

If you pay right away with Paypal. I expect to have it shipped within 1 to 2 business days max. Whn I sell something I ship it as soon as possible after I get the money. I bought some headphones for a gift for my stepson on the December 9th. By the 19th I still hadn't gotten them, so I emailed the seller. He tells me they went out a while ago. They got here the 27th, I look on the label he shipped them on the 19th. 10 days after I paid for them. I think that was messed up.
