I would go back & make sure the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 was given a full congressional revue, rather than being railroaded through without a quorum. I doubt it would've passed. The world would be a very different place as a result.

This is the single biggest misunderstood part of American politics by the foreign public. It is widely assumed that the president has complete power to do whatever he wishes without any system of checks and balances.

Well, really, it's the same in every democracy. So, there really should be that understanding in every democratic nation. But when, say, France does something, we never distinguish between the actors either.
