I'm worried about the Chargers but we have Brady and they have some other guy so i give the edge to the Pats. We HAVE to shut down LT to a certain point. There is no true way to shut him down but if we can limit him to say 98yds and 2 tds...we could have a good chance of beating the Bolts... Maroney and Dillon having a good game would be a huge help too... i can't wait to see the game. I think i'd rather face them then the Ravens so we'll just have to wait and see i guess...

I think Pennington is more than just OK as a QB. There are a lot crappier QBs out there. Granted, he'll never be in the top 5, but hey, everyone had a chance for Drew Brees, and they passed him up. But still, I'd take Chad over, say, Trent Green, any day of the week.

I'm sure there are a lot of bandwagon Pats fans, but not as many as you imagine. They were still getting 50k despite going 1-15, 2-14, etc. I was a fan in 1976 and I lived through Erhardt's 2 win team, and I went to school every week saying, it's a really good team, but they keep losing by a field goal. I took a lot of abuse, and in retrospect, I deserved it.

New England fans are too obsessed with the Red Sox to notice that the current Patriots, and their lack of egos, are literally a once-in-a-lifetime thing. It will never happen again. Sure a great team here and there, but not a 6 year run like this.

          danastas,
You are lucky you are a fan from out there in a way.
It's very true that this area is so full of Red Sox yahoos that once again they are over looked until they win in the playoffs. During football season, i'm addicted to sports radio and a few weeks ago, I couldn't even listen to 10 mins of it because of all the JD Drew talk, the Japanese guy (not going to try and spell his name) ok, I can understand that for a while, but it's annoying. Thank God for the Sirius NFL Network station!

(Sorry I know there are Red Sox fans on this board, no offense I'll casually root for them too, but you have to admit it's a little ridiculas sometimes.)

Yeah, I've been living in upstate NY for a while now. I'm from Connecticut and went to school in Boston. The truth is I was a bigger Red Sox fan in the 80s, but I really stopped watching with the out of control payrolls. My brothers would kill me for saying this but I still think Schilling is a mercenary. The Sox, like the Yankees, fleece the poorer franchises into giving them their stars.

The NFL is moving this way too and the talk in Buffalo is the Bills won't be able to compete because of the skyrocketing salary cap. Here's a town with 250k residents, 1 million in the surrounding area, and 80,000 fans watch this stinky team play week in and week out. That's 8% of the entire population. And yet, they're going to lose the franchise within a decade.

when the patriots won the superbowl the parade was not even crowded from what i heard from a couple of customers of mine. They were disgusted.
The red Sox own the town, and why? I can't think of how they could with the exception of '04, the Patriots are a fukkin' joke they are so good. WAKE UP!!!!! over there-lol

Well the way they handled the quote parade was really a joke. They set it up so that not many could show. We actually have had sold out games for years as far as the pats go....kind of sucks, in order to see them live its almost cheaper to go to another stadium. Red Sox own Boston though....maybe has somethingto do with the "Boston" Red Sox and Fenway actually being in Boston as opposed to the Patriots Stadium is in Foxborough and the team covers all of New England
