I don't know why, but I have. Oh, what you don't want to have is a freeze-plug blow.

        Yep... I remember block heaters.
Don't need them here, but I always get a chuckle when I see a car with a plug hanging out of the grill.

Yep, I had a block heater when I lived in Wisconsin. I also had an electric blanket for the engine on those -40F wind chill days. I don't miss the ice and snow......and especially the salt on the roads.

In high school I left my car plugged in and drove to school with the extension cord dragging behind me.

Then the fucking school office announces over the P.A., "Whoever left their car plugged in this morning. We have your extension cord in the office."

Not very fun to be walking out of high school with a bright orange extension cord after that announcement.

I took the family out on the boat today. It was nice. 78 degrees, 22% humidity, sunny. I did hear on the radio about you guys with shit weather though. Man, that must suck.

*yawn* Day number 3 of -40+ with the windchill factor. A day ago it was -47 with the windchill.

The coldest day I have ever been out in was -57 with the windchill. Insta-freeze. I cant imagine not having cold and snow half the year :s
