And don't 95, 98 and ME have a 512MB limitation? I've heard bad things happen with you install more than 512MB - system has "out of memory errors" because pointers get warped or something. It's documented on Microsoft's website.

I wasn't aware of this. I've never had any problems at all, and this is my main recording PC. That's why I beefed up the RAM. This little pice of crap runs great.

It's working correctly now.

Bought a high speed USB card/port and installed it. Then reinstalled the software and did a bunch of driver updates.
