The Blabbermouth report doesn't mention any source...So it seems they are going just by the fact that both are making announcements Friday...
1) Everyone there will be making announcements and...
2) Deans "Live" announcement is @ 10 am and Dave's is @ 1 pm.
We have been discussing the subject here...

Regarding the time difference between Mustaine and Dean's announcements, that does not prove it's not Dean, IMO.
Obviously Dean will have enough going on that they wouldn't want their small booth swarmed with people drooling over Dave, and Dave probably wants to be in his own area to make his detailed announcement/press conference anyway, given the size of his ego.
Then again, maybe Dave will make his announcement at 10AM, but threw out the 1PM time as a decoy?I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

Dave will not go back to Jackson. He has stated basically (not literally, but from the things he's been reported as saying regarding the Fender buyout) that he feels betrayed by JCMI, just as much as he feels betrayed by Lars and James about being kicked out of Metallica.
They day he goes back to Jackson, look for him to re-join Metallica
