  • How many of you smoke.

I quit smoking cigarettes, but I smoke cigars. They are much more of a pastime than an actual need (I go for 3-4 days without at times and when I do smoke them, never more than one or two in a day). I found that I didn't enjoy cigarettes at all anymore....just had to have one. But with cigars, they are the ultimate relaxant.

I quit smoking cancer sticks about 9 years ago or so. I have recently started with cigars and cigarellos. I don't inhale them, I mostly like the smell.

I haven't smoked ciggies since I was a kid & got serious about sport. Have felt no compulsion to ever start again.

        Haven't smoked leaf in years.

I enjoy a cigar a couple of times a year now. I don't usually inhale them, but occasionally I forget myself and drawback my first puff. Ackk!

I smoke cigs. But, I don't inhale.:ROTF: :ROTF: That is, I take the draw down to my throat and throw it back out. If I were to actually inhale the smoke I would not like it at all. I did that just now and it made me dizzy.:ROTF: :ROTF:

Don't ask me why but I took up pipe smoking just before X-mas. I figured I like cigars once in a while why not try a pipe? So I did.

I tried pipes and liked it. The downside is you can't taste food.:ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF:

I smoke and know I need to quit. I went to Mexico the other day to try get some smokes cheap, or so I was thought. When I crossed the border and had to pay my taxes they charges me $15. Ouch! I guess I really need to try t start quiting now. Think of all the thinks I could do with all the extra money.

I smoke. Yeah, I know they're bad for you, but everyone has their vice. I like the occasional cigar too.

Funny you should ask.....today is my 7th day of this program I started. Tomorrow is my target quit day. It's a brand new drug and program that starts 7 days before you set a target date to quit. Today is my 7th day, its 10:00pm and I'm getting ready to have my last one before I go to bed.

It's a new drug called Chantix, so we'll see if it works. I've been smoking 27 years, so it'll be tough, but I've been following the rules and the program and its time, so I'll keep ya posted on my progress.

I quit 21 years ago and have not had the first urge to smoke again.I guess the reason why was because I coughed up a piece of lung about the size of my thumb nail.Very gross I know but I feel great.

                        Good luck Don

It really aint that hard (been smoking since 85). The only tough part is being around others that smoke. Here at home I haven't the slightest urge to light one up. Get me at work with other smokers and I am in agony.

I guess the answer is stay at home and don't go to work!!!!!!

I quit 4 years ago, never wanted another one. Being around folks that smoke doesn't bother me in the least. I had a major lung problem that led to surgery. I quit 2 weeks before my surgery. Glad I did.

I never have smoke anything. Nor will I. I never felt the need to have a cigarette or what have you to take the edge off the day. Or to relieve stress. People have tried to get me to partake in the sticky icky. But i dont believe in peer pressure or have a need to encapsulate my reamining brain cells in THC's I have a hard enough time typing as it is.. lol
I'm not bashing anybody that does. Im just saying it's not for me.

The way I look at it is, I spent my whole growing up years with two parents that smoked two packs a day each. We lived in a house that had whopper windows. When I would wash them, the water was a brown-gold. The secondhand smoke should have already killed me. But, it hasn't. I'm 56. I grew up when cars belched nasty ass stuff. Ever get behind a vintage car and get a whiff of that exhaust? I am not rationalizing why I smoke. I smoke because I do. It's nasty and expensive. But, like I said before, I don't inhale deeply. And the only time I smoke is when I am on the computer. You guys are killing me.
