It's a brand new drug and program that starts 7 days before you set a target date to quit. Today is my 7th day, its 10:00pm and I'm getting ready to have my last one before I go to bed.

It's a new drug called Chantix, so we'll see if it works. I've been smoking 27 years, so it'll be tough, but I've been following the rules and the program and its time, so I'll keep ya posted on my progress.

Chantix is what I used and it works great or at least it did for me. I did not stop in the 7 days but the stuff really helps with the urge.
After the first week I didn't have the urge to smoke as bad and I cut way down. It was a month or 6 weeks but I am on my 7th week without a smoke. I am still takeing the chantix and I still get that I need a smoke feeling every day but so far so good

Good luck and congrats on stoping, I hope it helps you as much as it did me

Yeah, yesterday was the first day I had any kind of urge. Fought it off and ok going into today. Stuff seems to be working well.

Great job on the seventh week. If everything goes ok for me and you, I'll never catch up to you, cause you'll always be 6 weeks ahead of me.

If it gets real bad, get a can of Skoal. You'll be surprised how a little pinch will take the edge right off. I know it's not the ultimate plan, but it worked for me when nothing else would. Still better than inhaling carbon monoxide and 300 other chemicals.

Can't do it. I agree that its better than inhaling carbon monoxide, but, I've taken that route before, back in the 80's and ended up on both. Besides, I don't think my wife would appreciate marital flossing with Skoal strands. :ROTF:

It's the coolest thing to do imo.

Well done! You are over the most difficult part by a long way, focus now on what a f**king healthy summer you have to look forward to (with more money too). I'm still getting mad cravings every now and then, but they only last a few minutes. I never crave a cigarette first thing in a morning any more, which is what I thought would be the worst time for me; cup of tea and a cig before work. Can't get over how much fresher everything in my house and car feels.
You should be proud of yourself, well done...
