I had quit smoking for 8 months before moving to Japan 5 years ago.

However, this country is a "Smoker's Paradise", so I started smoking again

Only time you smoke is when youre behind a computer? From the looks of yourposting habits as of late, That would be all the time then Fett...

I don't smoke, The GF does and I hate it... She wants to quit, but I somehow doubt she will...

At least she's hot. Only reason I put up with it, and we're all debating just how long I'll do that...

Underground radiation tests, hormones in food, Flouridated water, Hydrogen-injected foods, air pollution from jet engines, hurricanes, terrorists, everyday homegrown lunatics that could snap at any minute, earthquakes, ice storms, tornadoes, drunk drivers, wildfires, AIDS,......and people are worried about cigarettes?

                  Thanks
                  Don't go to work.........................maybe I'll try that.

Out of about 21 people, only one other person smokes. She already came over this morning and asked if I wanted to go outside to smoke.

                  ..............declined

Good going Jeri. Just keep alert. I had quit for 3 years at one time and alls it took was one night to screw that up. Don't let that happen.

Hang in there Don. I haven't had a cig since Xmas. I had some pretty bad withdrawls which led me to buy a box of patches. I used three of them and decided they weren't the answer. I bought a can of Skoal, and I've found that a little pinch will take the edge right off of a nicotine craving. I've had the can for 7 days, and it's still over half full. At this point I suppose that 2 cans of Skoal a month are still WAY better than 2 packs of cigs a day. That's $6.00 per month compared to $6.00 per day. I guess my point is, I still have nicotine cravings, but I have no desire for a cigarette.

My last cigarette was on 11/05/1996. I used the NicoDerm CQ patch to help.

P.S. Good luck to all of you that are trying to quit.

Eggplant contains nicotine (or rather Niacin, which is found in nicotine). But you never see people being forced to stand out in the rain to eat an eggplant. That's discrimination

Tobacco free for the last 10 years, only exceptions were a nice cigar here and there,

Here in NJ Newc, you can have eggplant indoors, unless you want to smoke it, then you gotta go outside. Except in casinos of course.

Keep it up......good job. Watch that Skoal substitute though. I did that in the '80's when I was playing a lot of softball. I switch over to Copenhagen to quit smoking and save my lungs for running, but ended up doing both.
