The most overrated team in NFL history, much like the Pistons of the late 80's.
They make watching football almost impossible. They drag they're opponents down to a lower talent level by every means possible. Dink and dunk garbage, holding, b.s. replay technicalities...
Just completely unbearable. I, and many friends of mine, won't even watch a game when they're playing, it's THAT BAD.
The last good, fun football we had to watch was the 99 Rams, and i'm not even a big Rams fan but at least they were talented and fun to watch.Comment

C'mon man, don't be bitter because Vick is useless as a QB. Your best bet a qb has been riding the pine for a couple of years now, I would take Schaub over Vick any day.
(not trying to stir it up in a vicious way, just friendly ball breaking because I'm not a Vick fan.)

Tom Brady is the man and you can't bet against him. Part of me thinks its Peytons year but I'll take Brady in winning the big game over Peyton.

Quite the opposite, a BIG fan of talented football. I grew up watching the Steelers, 49'ers, Cowboys, even the Bills who lost all 4 at least were entertaining and talented.
We just haven't seen much of that the past 10 years or so.
Sorry the Ravens, Giants, and Patriots brand of football just doesn't excite people other than their fans. Couple that with the wave of media-made "superstars" and it has become a very shallow, ugly league for the most part.
Just an opinion I hear from many I have talked to who actually do more than just read (and believe) the headlines on ESPN.com.Comment

I work in a hospital that is one of the main sponsors for the Texans and Carr always show up for blood drives. And to be quite honest I just don't get starstruck when I see a pro sports player or celebrity. In fact as far as sports figures goes the only one that I would love to get an autograph of is Jim Kelly. Eventhough he and the Bills broke my heart 4 times!

The 2001 and 2006 Patriots relied on dink and dunk.
But if you go back to 2003 and 2004, you'll see that Brady had a higher ypc than Manning, and every other QB in the league. Theyw ent from dink and dunk to bombs away.
Don't forget the multiple bombs to Bethel Johnson for TDs against the Titans, multiple bombs to Deion Branch against the Steelers, and in the Super Bowls as well.
I think the dink and dunk charge from when the Patriots had Dave Patten and Jermaine Wiggins as receiving targets has stuck. But the Patriots upgraded after that.
Don't forget that that Carolina Super Bowl was a lights out point explosion that ended in the final seconds. Very few mistakes by either team. Incredible passing from DelHomme to Ricky Proehl and Muhammad and Steve Smith, countered by Brady passing to Branch and Givens.Comment

On the other hand, I'm disappointed in the Patriots. They broke an unwritten rule of football by stealing an opponent's mocking taunt. I think the Patriots are disgusting for doing that, and I think Belichick is the most disgusting for telling his players to do that.
Everyone knows that in football, you can punch someone in the nuts, tell them their mother is a slut and their wife spend Saturday night at your pad, you can gay bait people, etc. That's all kosher.
But if you're so low as to steal their dances, then you have no character whatsoever. Doing roids is one thing, but jiggling your butt after a win is disgusting.
Heck, there's even a Man-Law against it.Comment
