  • Baby name contest...

Ok, so we're having a baby boy next month (Feb. 24th due date). The problem is, we're having trouble coming up with a middle-name. I kinda wanted something to honor my grandfather (Charles Henry Thomas) but I'm not sure I like any of those names as a middle-name for our son. They just don't go with his first name. We're running out of time and we're not any closer to a name. So ANY help is appreciated. Oh and we haven't decided how to spell his first name either...

    Kain ____ Roberson
    Kayn ____ Roberson
    Kane ____ Roberson
    Kayne _____ Roberson
    Kaine _____ Roberson

Ok, it's not REALLY a contest.... no prize.

I'd say something with two syllables.

Maybe try Henry Kayn Roberson or Charles Kayne, and just call him by his middle name.
My middle name is actually Vincent, I have never gone by my 1st name Guillermo(fathers 1st name), or William in English.

I like that too. Remember the middle name usually never gets used or is a acknowledgement of someone else. So it's not like people will always be Kayne Henry get over here, which acctually has a cool ring to it. So it's settled Kayne Henry, now go tell your wife to get to birthing.

Just a thought, think how the name you give you're child will effect him in regards to other kids tauting him about it.Weird spellings will get a kid ridiculed to no end and teachers mispronounceing his name will be a constant hassle to him.
A simple strong sounding name will garner him respect and save him a lifetime of people making fun of his name.Women try to give a little boy a "cute" name or watered down spelling of a name and don't realize what harm can be done.
You're son will be glad you thought of him when deciding on a name.
                              Really? well screw Mark Twain.
