Just give the customer his damn replacement product.
I approved every request that came through me, its not like I was saving myself money and the company was not kicking back any money I saved them.
Put yourself in the customers shoes its sounds like someone has a low position of power and they use it to the fullest to me.
If I could not replace the product I would let the customer know that I dont have the authority, so they would not yell at me either never got my panties in a wad over it.
