his Cowboys record, including postseason, is 34-32.

you like that and want .500 football to continue?

now if only Gibbs would get the fuck out of Washington, we'd have something (and yes I'm a lifelong Redskins fan, but nice-grandpa Gibbs is not the same as young unstoppable Gibbs).
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

Yeah, but he went 34-32 without a quaterback. Parcells is a class act, but I guess with all his staff leaving, he didn't want to start all that again.

      Jerry Jones.......I'LL TAKE THE JOB!!!!!!!

The TO thing probably pushed over the edge.
He's getting up there in age and it takes a special brand of coach these days to deal with these prima-donna headcase players.
The thing is that there are no top name coaches out there for the Cowboys to get.
I'll cut them a deal on John Gruden...
Mr. Patience.... ask for a free consultation.

It wasn't the TO thing at all. It was the thought of having to build a whole new staff.

I hate the fat tuna. I hope hes gone from football for good. He has a history of doing this. He doesnt get fired, he just quits when things dont go his way and leaves the organization high and dry. I feel badly for Dallas. They got suckered in by fat tuna fever. He's a great coach, sure, but hes a quitter. He's like Clint Eastwood in high plains drifter. He painted Dallas red and now hes off to disappear into the sunset. Welcome to Hell indeed.

How is parcells a quitter, because he's not in full control of the team? that's what he demands when he takes a job, and when he is in control he goes to the superbowl, or at least the championship game.Did it with new England and the Jets who were 1-15 two years before he started coaching them. wemt 8-8 and then 12-4 and was up 10-0 at halftime in denver. The jets would have clobbered the falcons if they could have held on but I knew elway would find a freakin' way to stab me in the neck with a butterknife.
Not helping the situation since 1965!

Yes, Ive got the same scar on my neck. He's a quitter because he does just that. He builds a team to a point and then leaves them in a lurch. He has no team loyalty.(Not being Naive here, but the guy could care less about anyone else but himself, Ok, maybe he has a strange thing for Dave Megget ) Did he ever get fired? I dont think he did. Giants, Pats, Jets, Dallas, he just up and retired from all those positions no? Im not saying that hes not successful, he just seems to have an x-year plan and then he splits. Maybe he does it so he gets the huge signing bonus when he joins a new team a year or two later. I dont know. I wish Jerry Jones would have fired him before he had a chance to quit.:ROTF: That would have been funny. But hopefully there are a million more tuna-haters in Texas today.

by "without a quarterback" I take that to mean WITH a quarterback that he specifically traded with Buffalo for?

is that what "without a quarterback" means these days?

or do you mean WITH an up and coming young qb who will be a force in the league for years despite his fuckup with the snap of the field goal attempt?

and what assts of any import have left Dallas recently besides Sean Payton?

face it dude, Parcells just doesn't have it any longer, and has not had it for the 10 years it's been since his last playoff win.

and that's coming from a Redskins fan who admits that Gibbs doesn't have it any more either. they are both past their prime.

Ok, quaterbacks - let's see, Quincy Carter=bust, Chad Hutchinson=Bust, Drew Henson=Bust, Ryan Leaf=WTF?, Vinnie Testaverde=over the hill, immobile yet in fair shape, Drew Bledsoe=over the hill, immobile, losing his vision of the field. This brings us to Tony Romo. Tony has the tools for sure, but is he a finished product, I say no. Promising yes, but ready for an HONEST Pro Bowl???? Who are we kidding here. So the jury is still out on him.

Ok what assists left??? Well starting with last year:

                              1. Maurice Carthon - Browns (Offensive Coordinator, 2005)
                              2. Sean Peyton - Saints (head coach)
                              3. Gary Gibbs - Saints (Def Coordinator)
                              ----this year----
                              4. Mike Zimmer - Falcons (Def coordinator)
                              5. David Lee - Arkansas Razorbacks (Off Coordinator)
                              6. Bruce DeHaven - Seahawks (Special Teams)
                              7. Bill Parcells - Retired
