if i was to eat properly in a decent house, i'd say i would end up dipping into a 2 grand overdraft every month. the tax on everything you buy over here is extortionate.

No I have a new system, just don't go to bed, then hook up IV coffee with the Thorazine drip and I'm good to go all day.

My electric bill alone was over $800 last month. It will reach $1000 before the winter is over.

I'm not surprised. I rode through BP last week.

Too much. And the more you make, the more you spend. And shit, I don't even live where it is expensive. I could only imagine what it would be like to live where I grew up, which was Potomac, Md. We bought our house in 1980 for $180,000. My parents sold it in 1992 for $500,000. I am willing to wager that you would have to shell out $750,000 for it today, at least. It was within walking distance of two great schools. The last time I went back "home" I could not believe my eyes. Everything that made Potomac great, like some open space and greenery, was being destroyed by development. People want to live there so badly, that they were building townhouses and condos on the PEPCO right of way...unreal. Also, the name "Potomac" was such a status symbol that the name spread 40 miles in every direction. I think they were calling parts of Germantown, "North Potomac". Un-Fucking-Real.

Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

Single guy living in the barrio, so...
                    $345 rent
                    <$100 electric
                    $90 cable & internet
                    $70 phone
$80 insurance for my car collection
$30 gas - I dirve a metro & can almost see work from home.
($200 gas if I drive my '70 Lemans heh)
Probably >$200/month for food - I eat out a lot.
oh and $50 a year for Xbox Live, that I use twice a year heh

Neighbors who don't speak a word of English and don't call the cops, no matter how much noise I'm making at 4 a.m.?

                    Priceless.

With whatever is left I either buy car parts or cheap guitars that'd make Fettster proud. Not really, I spend it all on my girlfriend these days. LOL

Unfortunately with two house payments, the COL is more than I make. I'm friends with lots of Credit Card companies. Hopefully it will sell shortly and I will pay everything off.

I live in retarded gemany where every political institution is of the opinion that women should stay home and therefor refuse to have a decent system of day care/kindergarten for kids. Actually germany has the least facilities in Europe!

We pay $ 800 a month for nanny that takes care of our son 30 hours a week. She has 5 kids she takes care of. Every parent pays this amount.

We must consider ourselves lucky because we were able to find a place for our son.

$800 a month from every parent is insane. (It's also illegal because in most American states you're not allowed to care for more than 4 kids per day care worker).

Anyway, I know of someone in NY who watches 4 kids for $2k a month per kid.

Yes folks, you too can earn $100,000 watching kids!!

I just figured out my COL. No wonder I can buy a lot of guitars. I was shocked. I won't go into details.
I am a true ass set to this board.
