  • List of best rock/metal power ballads and wedding songs

Looking for some monster ballads to play at my future hypothetical rock-inspired wedding and just sappy rock/metal songs in general.

    -Half of Def Leppard's songs
-Honeymoon Suite - "Burning In Love"
    -Aerosmith - "Angel"
-Bon Jovi - "I'll Be There For You"
    -Virgin Steele - "Cry Forever"
    -Heart - "What About Love"
-Guns N' Roses - "November Rain"
-Bryan Adams - "Heaven", "Everything I Do"
-Eagles - "Love Will Keep Us Alive" (not a power ballad but I love this one)
-The Darkness - "Love Is Only A Feeling"
    -Scorpions - "Still Loving You"

Van Halen - When Its Love
(Not metal but) The Police - Every Breath You Take
Guns N Roses - Don't Cry (either version)
Velvet Revolver - Fall to Pieces
    Aerosmith - What It Takes

I'll think of some more I'm sure...

In 1978 it was "Knights in White Satin" by Moody Blues for my wedding. It will make the old farts cry today.:ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF: It was way cool then. I was the groom and I set up the sound system. I took my home system to a mansion and set it up. I did the tapes and did my own sound. It was great. Those were the days.

There are a few more although I am not sure if they are actually songs:

                She Used to Blow Me
                I Used to be Happy
oh yea.. and that top 10 from the late 80's:

                Nagging Bitch

I even know some of the lyrics to the song. They go something like this:

As soon as I said I do
                She said I don't anymore
She said she never really liked it
That bitch could have fooled me

When we dated we were banging,
                Like every night for weeks
But now it ain't so frequent
50lbs more to her ass cheeks

She is such a frigging nag
                My crotch began to itch
I think I got the crabs
                From that smelly fat bitch.

First song played at my wedding reception, for the "bride and groom only" dance was "It's Over Now" by Frehley's Comet.

The title sounds bad, but the context of it in the song is "You will never hear me say it's over now."

                              - E.
Good Lord! The rod up that man's butt must have a rod up its butt!
