Wow, I am normally totally against any drugs, but I took that Zicam after my wife took it and didn't get sick when everyone else we knew got sick. I folded cause I couldn't afford to get sick and guess what, I didn't. I TOTALLY believe in that zicam stuff, but I think you can get the same result with Zinc and Vitamin C.

Still, it works like a champ. I need to look into those reports of loss of smell, strokes, etc, cause I never heard of that. Of course I may have a stroke or something else, I'd blame it on genetically mutated sugar (splenda), MSG, Lipitor, and Vodka though.

Well, good thing I didn't get the Zicam then! It was almost $9; the ColdEEZE was $4.44. I am getting rested & hydrated, BTW. I had soup for lunch and am about to dig into a big, hot bowl of chicken noodle soup right now. I'm feeling pretty good!

My wife does the raw garlic thing. I like to go for the straight up oranges. Why spend money on medicines...if you get the cold it will last a few days and that is that...sucks! Feel better!

Oh yeah...forgot (and this may not be the best advice for everyone), but I actually like to exercise. Get that blood flowing and distributing what your body needs!

Vitamin C, zinc and garlic are good to take to help prevent colds.

the garlic thing is a myth, man. Just like the cross thing and that they can only entertain your house once invited. I've....uh, they've never had a problem entering any place, churches included.

I usually get a cold once a year or so...it seems like no matter what I do it lasts 7 days...farkin' miserable.

yea, yea. I caught that after Joe had responded so I left it. Much like my guitar playing, my fingers act independently of my brain when typing, I have very little control over what they do.

Last cold I had lasted only about 3 days... I took a shitload of vitamin C and swallowed garlic gloves like crazy (cut them into small lozenges). Normally my colds last a week or more, but I swear by garlic and vitamin C.

Well one thing for sure, after munchin all that garlic, You won't spread your cold to other people :ROTF:

I don't take any of those cold stoppin drugs or the massive Vit. C thing, or Zinc,, I seriously can't remember the last time I had a cold or the flu, everyone around me got sicker than hell (colds and flu) a while ago. I didn't even get the sniffles, I'm tellin ya Jim Beam or Crown Royal in massive doses, even if you get sick, ya don't care

Proper diet, Proper vitamin and mineral supplementation, proper exercise, proper rest, proper mental attitude, and regular Chiropractic adjustments. I don't get sick.

Take 2 VitaminG's and go to bed. Your body, as it is, will dictate how and when you get sick. It's all in the genes. Mine are a little faded and getting worn out. But, I'm still here. Bugs can't get me. I'm a Viking god-like person.
