    Message from Ace

    Hey I went over to Ace's place (he's on the westside now) yesterday to pick up my Rand. What a harrowing drive! WTF are all these people going on a Saturday afternoon? Sh*t! Nobody else move here, ya bastiges!
    I know there's about 7 million people in LA County alone + 3 mil in OC + probably a million illegals, that's friggin 11 million fukkheads all driving somewhere seemingly at the same time!

    OK, sorry, got on a rant there!

    I get to Ace's pad, and his doorbell is 3 good-sized barking dogs! ARF ARF ARF!! Even after they all licked my hands and got my scent, they were barking while escorting me back in the property...one of 'em barked WHILE licking my hand!
    Ace's old band Dudefuckinhellyeah broke up, but most of the same members (heh) are in his new project The Beyond. He doesn't have net access on his PC yet, so his message is: "Hey"

      11 million bodies? That's feckin' crazy! We've only got 20 million in the entire country here, and that's in a land mass the same size as the US. Move to Oz, Ron m'boy. You don't have as many choices on the breakfast menu, and guitars cost a buttload more, but you've got plenty of room to swing a cat.

            Good to hear from him. Racer many of the LA residents are moving to Houston. I work with a couple in my department. There is 3 of us. I'm out numbered. Quite a few businesses are moving from LA into other parts of the country including Houston. Turn the lights off will ya when the last one leaves

              Your numbers are low, Ron. As of 2005 estimates, LA County was just under 10 million, OC just under 3 million, Riverside just under 2 million, San Bernardino just under 2 million, Ventura County is just under 800,000. It's not part of L.A. but San Diego county is just under 3 million.

              So that's about 17.5 million in the Greater L.A. area if you count Ventura, which is part of the megalopolis. Add in San Diego County and you have 20.5 of California's 36 million people living south of the Grapevine.

              And people wonder why "rush hour" is 15 mph! I don't miss that 405 freeway one bit!

                    that is a fair chunk of your population living in one spot. I imagine there would be quite a bit of open space outside of the metropol.

                    Almost the population of Oz living in each other's laps. How's the smell of all those bodies in close proximity? More importantly, how's the birth rate? Folks would be impregnating strangers riding on the bus, packed in like that!

                        on behalf of all Australians, I wish to apologise to you, Endrik, for your having been subjected to the soap-operatic dreck of Home and Away.

                        Although it interests me that you refer to it as a sitcom - have they redubbed it to be funny in Estonia? Because it is absolutely not funny in English

                            well it's not officially a sitcom, but I concider it to be one because a) it's redubbed so that only one person reads the text... some old dude with a funny voice and he has done it more that 10 years b) although mostly grandmas and 8 year old girls watch it but when you are watching it with stoned friends who make very inappropriate comments it can be funny as hell

                              Yeah...I don't bitch about traffic nearly as much as I did before I experienced the 405 for a week! That's when I learned My then g/f could swear like a sailor too... Between the traffic and her mouth I was pretty much keeping to myself with my eyes and mouth wide open
