Why can't we be mature?

We already know that we are a bunch of brains. There is so much to talk about that really matters. The near future will determine the next decade. And we blew the opportunity to discuss. This board has everybody with all kinds of views. Then a thread breaks down to the base level. I know my record is stuck on a groove, but I really miss the good old days.

I just remember when a "Hot" topic could pop up and for a few posts it could be civil. And then those from the "Dark Side" would bring it down to name calling and just vile stuff that ruined it for the rest of us that could have a difference of opinion and stay "in bounds". For example. "Is Bama Black or White or something in between?" Just think what we could talk about if we were allowed to.

That's not the point. You guys do what you have to do at work. This board should be a "Safe Haven" to talk guitars and whatever and just hang. Maybe, I'm just wrong and the "Policy" is right. But there used to be a very bright and informative group of people that aren't here anymore. Signed. 7000+ posts.
