Hell, I'm going to have to watch for those road course races and give NASCAR another try. Thanks to those of you who posted about them.

I lived in Marin and/or Sonoma County. It will always be Sears Point. NASCAR and road courses are fun to watch. I love to watch the Bristol's. There was a good point made. The cars are wider than the track was made for. The bottom line for me is that all forms of auto racing have become so unexciting. I was there when they went from front engine to back engine at Indy. I was there when new engines were introduced. I was there there when CAN-AM was cool. The racing scene now is just a bunch of old farts running around in generic cars that have so many rules piled on them that it is impossible to let a driver in a car that was made to race race. And if they crash and burn, so what.:ROTF: That's why people spend hundreds of dollars to "BE THERE".
I am a true ass set to this board.

Here's the schedule, but 6/24 and 8/12 are the road courses. http://www.nascar.com/races/cup/2007/data/schedule.html Bristol and Martinsville are always great (IMHO) to watch as well. More going on than the plate races. I've been a fan for years, but lately I have come to agree with what's being said about the plate races and the super speedways being fairly boring to watch on TV. I'm sure they're better in person, but I was always a Friday night short track kind of guy anyway ;-). As for the comment that they should look more like the cars the represent... I agree 100%.
