Drugs and two generations

Started out smoking a little weed when I was 15. Smoked a ton of hash and oil in high school, and dropped some acid. Smoked PCP a couple of times. Tried coke when I was 19, but I didn't get off on it. I've done shrooms a handful of times. Did ecstacy once, and it sucked. Lately, I have just been smoking weed, and occasionally hash. Every once in a while we get some coke, for shits and giggles, but it's very infrequent, and it bothers my sinuses, so I stay away from it mostly. Actually, I don't even smoke that much weed anymore. Maybe 3 or 4 times a week. I never did get into the pills much, but I remember taking a handful of Gravol a couple of times. That was fun.

I was a bad bad boy from the time I was about 13 till I was 17, I made Cheech and Chong look like lightweights. Never did X or Heroin, but just about everything else. Weed, Coke, Hash, Ludes, Crystal, Acid, Shrooms and a few others I am sure I am forgetting. Now I just stick mostly with Beer a few times a week but have been known to slip in a little toke here and there once every few months. Although I did score a bag in Jamaica and got nice and baked. Ya, try going to Jamaica and not scoring a bag.

Smoked pot once. Smoked cigarettes when I was 12 up to when I was 14. Quit because I noticed girls started hating me. Quit and now I'm in love with the best girl I've ever met in my life, and get this, she loves metal. I'm clean from here on out except for maybe a few drinks once in awhile. *cough*party this weekend*cough*

Yeah I tried everything I could get my hands on for sure. Drugs are bad real bad. Sometimes it takes years to realize how bad.

I'm 43 and pretty much tried a lot of stuff...pot, acid, mescaline, crystal meth, coke and speed in pill form. I had a coke habbit when I was in my early 20's and that sucked, I did a good job hiding it but figured it out quick that its not a good thing. By the time I ws 24 or so I didnt do any drugs whatsoever....I still like pot and smoke it occasionaly, honestly I don't put it in the same class as other drugs I mentioned.

I can't for the life of me figure out why alcohol is legal and pot is not. Too much propaganda on it. I know a lot of people who smoke and if you knew them you wouldnt believe they do.

I would. Pot IS less harmful than alcohol, I've never driven too stoned but have too drunk. DUI cured me of that, because of alcohol awareness school where I met a bunch of nimrods who thought drinking and driving was like the Boston Tea Party. As far as pot though, I was Class of 1976 and most of my classmates, even the jocks, smoked it.

I'm 37...

Weed = 10-12 times total.
Ecstacy = 2 times
Acid = 1 time

Alcohol = was drunk many times in my youth, but in the past 10 years been drunk maybe once a year.

I'm a lightweight.

No drugs, no cigarettes, not even coffee, but PLENTY of Coca Cola.
And guess what? Yesterday when I was sitting at a busstop a middle-aged lady said to me "Jesus loves you." Figure she must have thought I was an "unfortunate" or something. I haven't shaved my beard in a week or so cause I wanna see what I look like with it..
Conclusion: Stay off that Cola! Apparently it makes you look like a crack addict..

I must say when I posted this thread I was worried that you guys would shine it on as the ramblings of an old one-eyed fart. I am very impressed with your responses. Your message is clear and I admire you for telling it like it is. Man, I love this board.

Never anything but alcohol, and even that not very often. It just never interested me much. Having friends in high school go down the pot road and watching them turn into lethargic fools was enough to steer me away from that crowd.

I'm 30 years old, and i regularly take:

a beer a day, sometimes none, sometimes 2 or 13
coffee, 1 or 2 cups a day
my regular medications daily
aspirin occasionally when i have a headache

Only time i ever touched any illegal drug was when i was forced to it by some bullies in high school (pot or hash if i remember)

I drink beer on occasion (occasion = party).
Very rarely do I drink hard liquor.

I don't like caffeine, it makes me feel strange, and not in a good way.

And I have never smoked anything except a rolled newspaper when I was a kid. I guess that cured me for life. :ROTF:

Alcohol can take it or leave it most of the time I dont drink that much even when going out....

Tried a ciggya while bag when I was hammered of newcastle brown ale, that stuff makes me do anything.....

Here's the problem with your beer and/or ale. It's so strong it will knock you knickers off after a couple of pints. Our beer is weak, unless we buy the fortified stuff. I stay away from that stuff.
