How come 99% of UFO sightings happen in the U.S.? I think you guys watch too much hollywood movies
plenty of documented cases in Canada as well. One case was odd about UFO's around newfoundland that went under the sea for several days only to re-appear from the sea with couple other UFO's. I guess those folks either watched too much US TV or had too many Labatt or Molsens
Check out the KR1L document (sorry no link). Lots of food for thought, allegedly the result of interviews with an alien, OH1 (Original Hostage 1), the inspiration for Close Encounters. ie, he came here, and his kind took some people.
It throws things like this at you:
How is it that many reports of UFOs involve humans coming round a corner, or over a hill, or into a clearing and spying several little aliens "taking soil samples" or pottering about? They then spot the people, jump in their little spaceship and zoom away. Very convenient. Wherever they have come from, be it outer space, or the future, in their hugely advanced craft that defy the laws of physics, how come they haven't got the technology to detect approaching people and get away before they are spotted? Perhaps they are deliberately allowing people to glimpse them, teasing us, letting us get used to them gently rather than flying a spaceship into Trafalgar Square one morning. Or deliberately misleading us......!
I've seen things in the night sky before with no idea what it was, I'm sure as anybody else has. And like most people, I'm looking into the sky thinking one day it might happen. A never ending universe and were it, I doubt it.
But I remember swimming back home in a pool, floating on my back and just enjoying the summer night while everybody had already gone back in the house. A black triangled shaped object flew overhead, no noise, no lights, nothing. I could make out the shape because it was a clear night. Stars along with moonlight. It kind of looked like a stealth bomber (but much larger), and considering I've heard the military tested alot of those over KY airspace it could of been (this was years ago).
But it was very very odd looking, and very quiet, which also was kind of unusual as how big it was (But could of been flying at a low altitude, but I imagine I would hear something). Amongst the other strange lights I've seen, to me that was the more certain experience.
... but the physics and energy requirements of interstellar travel make it as close to impossible as it can get.
Once again, someone mysteriously bases the potential for interstellar travel on the limitations of this planet.
Has it never occurred to anyone that maybe we're the only ones using fossil fuels, and the space truckers are using more advanced power sources?
And please don't say nuclear/atomic
I've seen at least one, and my Dad saw another one at the same time that a kid in our neighborhood saw it, and they were on opposite ends of New Orleans. My Dad came home asking if we'd seen it and told us about it. We went down the street and ran into the other guy and he tells us the exact same thing, and the time he saw it was exactly the same.
I dont think they come here either Though one time my dad and I were sitting out watching a lunar eclipise, and we saw (now mind you the moon is red at the moment) I black object move amazingly fast "against" the moon. Completely silent, no lights or anything. We first thought it was maybe a stealth fighter of some kind as there is an Air Force up a little ways (Harrisburg I think). Other than that no outstanding stories
I saw one while standing in front of my house as a little kid (maybe around 10). I remember my friend and I were just waiting out there for his mom to come pick him up, it was just starting to get slightly dark, about 5 o'clock or so, we saw this big silver disc in the air, don't remember anything else about it. I didn't think UFOs came to New Jersey. I've never had any other experiences like that.
There are almost certainly other civilizations in the galaxy, but the physics and energy requirements of interstellar travel make it as close to impossible as it can get.
