An open letter to a catnapper...sorry for the length.
UPDATE!!! He escaped!! He came home this morning..now I KNOW he was stolen..because he is wearing a different collar, and his tags are gone. I wish he could tell me where he's been for the last 3 days. Wow..I'm so happy
SCORE! I thought he would! Not to tell you what to do, but really think about leaving your cats inside all the time. Besides cars, predators and cat-stealing assholes, your cat could also get feline HIV or other diseases from strays.

Yeah, I'd second that. They have a dangerous life outdoors. Just glad he's cool. Some evil people out there.
Once, I had a black cat start coming up and kept sitting on my boot while I was putting brakes on the car one Halloween. After I chased it off a couple times, she looked up at me and her throat was slit all the way across. Not bleeding anymore, but it was open to see tendons and all sorts of ill shit inside. I was poor and she was mellow, so I shaved/cleaned the injury and stitched her up with butterfly stitches and a few sutures and we had a cat that wouldn't leave.
I won't even leave my dogs alone in the yard after that. People are sick.
Oh man.. I would be distraught too. I'm glad he found his way back home safely and that you are reunited. My cat used to love the hallways outside the apt but never strayed far either and I never let her out when I couldn't keep an eye on her. If you let your guard down, someone else will take ya up on it eventually.

congratulate stumpy for escaping!
Say, I smell bacon.Does anyone else smell bacon?
Yeah, I definitely smell a pork product of some type.
I'm happy for you Jeri, that's a family member you got back. I'm a dog person, but a pet is a family member and the last couple of days must have just sucked. The Stumpster pulls off a daring escape home!!! fukkin' outrageous!!!! Your neighbor I think would at least ask what the heck are you doing with my neighbors cat? You're stylin' again. That's a huge heart mender, I know it. I dig great news, good news is always cool, but great news is hot shit!!!
That's awesome Jeri!! So foul that someone really did steal him due to the new collar. Way cool that he escaped. BIG can o tuna is in store for Mr. Stump i say...
