Parenting is about the best/worst experience a human can go thru. We had ours fairly damn young,crappy jobs,struggled to keep macaroni on the table,light bill paid,etc.
Were we ready to have kids? FUCK NO! Is anyone ever?
Luckily, (despite me) I had good kids,No trouble with cops,drugs,school,etc .
Flash forward 21 years, My daughter is a beautiful young lady,My step-daughter is a good mother(Grandpa!? ME?!? WTF!) and my son(besides the fact he's the bassist/lead vocals in my band,and has more talent than i ever dreamed of having) is my best friend.
If they have any faults,I can clearly see it is all my fault,yet,somehow,I get to share in the credit of how good they are!
What the old saying? "would not give a dime for another one,would not take a billion dollars for the ones i got"
Grandkids, NOW the fun starts,spoil 'em rotten,teach them bad habits,buy them LOUD toys(he just got his FIRST drum set
) and send them home! hehehe...
