Worse than Def Leppard? Tcha, as if. Worse than Warrant? or Britney Fox? or Creedence Clearwater Revival? No fuckin' way.

Supertramp ain't anywhere near my favorite band but the bottom is ripe with far worse.

It could be worse, imagine if they got Graham Bonnet. That dude makes the singer in Supertramp seem like Geoff Tate.

I love useless pointless rant threads and Zeegler is really good at starting them. :ROTF:

REO had one really great song - Golden Country. That was before Hi-Infidelity.

REO is not bad. Hi Infidelity is a pretty good album.

But....I'll take Britny Fox over Supertramp any day.

I might just agree that Supertramp is one of the worst bands ever.....their songs irritate the hell out of me.

What? Bashing Thorogood? You know what he's got to say to that, right?

Fuck, I grew up listening to LOADS of Jethro Tull, thanks to my uncle

EDIT: If someone at least LOOKED like a bunch of supertramps it was/is Tull!

Thank you.. I was gonna mention it. That song was a classic.. great dynamics and feel.

Graham Bonnet did a respectable, no, he did a great job on Schenkers Assult Attack... I just can't watch the guy tho as a frontman.

there's a big difference between progressive rock (yes, tull, rush etc.) AOR power-pop rock with prog elements (like Styx or 80's Collins era Genesis) and music for stoned house wives (Supertramp)

I used to think Supertramp sucked, and were ghey. Then bands like Ratt, Warrant and Poison started to come out, and Supertramp didnt seem so bad in comparison. In fact glam brought out a whole new level of gheyness that made bands like Supertramp seem almost manly. Thankfully the world was eventually saved by Slayer, Metallica, and Destruction................

The similarity is that they all sorta suck...

I grew up on ALL that too.. I can't hardly stomach it much anymore either. If I hear Geddy Lee Shriek about a "salesman" or Ian Anderson Shuffling in the Madness, I'm gonna hurl...

Lets not not mention Pink Floyd unless it's maybe Animals...

I spose I could handle old Genesis somehow tho...
