nope. it takes a special alignment of retarded planets for something as horrible as supertramp to be created. so even though your band may suck like a defective hair dryer, rest assured that you probably aren't as bad as supertramp.

cleve, i'm with ya on the logical song. not many songs just flat out make me nun-punching mad, but that's one of them.

At least Yes had talent Jon Anderson's voice gets to me after a while. I like Rush but can take Geddy's voice for only so long.

Styx's Pieces of Eight was a classic album...if you don't like Styx, you probably won't care for Kansas much either.

You guys are a riot. Ok, I have to chime in. It's a sad story, but I will share anyway. I am a die hard metal fan and all. I am also a life-long performing musician. I play and sing that is. But never sing lead. Can you guess why?

Right. I freely admit it. I sound like the Supertramp guy. I have this damn girly falsetto (see also: Michael Anthony) and I am in a rock band. Holy hell. I often think about when I am like 48 or 50, I will slip into the acoustic stuff and really click vocally and tone-wise. My tone just doesnt match the style I am all about. Eff! Anybody up for a Nelson tribute band? Eff! HORNS UP!! <lollipop guild voice>

I'm not very fond of SuperTramp, either, but do you know what? I would rather listen to them than George Thorogood. I get sick and tired of hearing B-B-B-Bad To The Bone every damned 30 minutes.

You gotta listen to REO before Kevin Cronin joined the band. They were a kick ass band. 157 Riverside Ave, Riding the Storm Out were a few of their older hits.

Well, JG, slut red lips and a short skirt simply don't impress me. Orgasms, yay, so what?

Besides, that "Hey Mickey" song makes me wish I was born deaf so I'd never heard it.
And I just didn't get the point of Easy Rider. What was it about, riding Harleys? Yay. Not my bag.

And bash Speedwagon all you want, Gary Ritchrath was one of the best guitarists to ever walk this Earth.

Maybe you guys should put down the guitars for a while and learn about songwriting and how much more important it is than being able to shred.

Didn't Greg Rollie sing for them before Kevin Cronin? Whoever it was, I can't stand the guy's voice. Cronin's fit so much better. Hi InFidelity was a great album.

High Infidelity was a good album, just different from older REO, including Cronin. Here's a couple of cheesy videos from the 70's. :ROTF: :ROTF: My Era...............
