I know a few Iranians, so I know what they look like, and Xerces (sp)'s facial features are actually pretty close.

A friend who used to live in various regions of the Middle East told me that he wasn't surprised to see no real Persians/Iranians in the movie, because Iranians are a very proud people. No actor of Iranian descent would agree to work on a movie in which his/her ancestors were portrayed in a bad light.

I don't know if that's true or not, but sounds plausible, and he does have extensive experience in that region.

So the director probably tried to get some real Iranian actors, but probably couldn't for the above reason.

I saw the movie. Dont care who looked like what. It was entertaining, great battle scenes. very Frank miller.

Greek chicks do have big tits, and persian women are some the most beautiful in the world. All we see on TV is the monkey is the bukha's, if you travel outside thier home country and see them int he airports they dump all the muslim garb. WHEW. i need a cold shower.

Iranians getting upset lol... it was 2500 years ago, get over it assholes! I'm Iranian myself, and let me tell you Iranian culture(what has survived of it anyway) has a lot of nice things going for it. However the "pride and honour"-norms are a fucking joke. The primary concern people have before doing anything is how it'll look to everyone else and what everyone else will think.

Plus everyone in the iranian government are class A idiots. Plus ahmadi nejad looks like a monkey
