The question is who is not on the take. Many veteran DEA agents have quit over this and the frustration with the war on drugs.

Everyone from local law enforcement to the top is on the take.

I agree 100%. Just like we support arms dealers to help arm even our enemies at times, because war equals money. Watch "Lord of War" with Nicholas Cage and tell me that doesn't happen. Hell, we supported Bin Laden back in the day when he was fighting against someone we didn't like (I forget who off the top of my head).

The fact is that the "war on drugs" keeps alot of people at work, keeps alot of money in the federal budget, and allows for a whole lot of uncontrolled government spending. Just like immigration, it's something our government doesn't REALLY want to fix...

Not to mention all the revenues it generates within the legal system.

It's just one big corrupt money-making game.

the police has to fight against the drug dealers as long as drugs aren't leagal.
it doesn't help people to stop using the drugs, it doesn't help to stop making or selling the drugs, heck it doesn't help anything wich has to do with drugs
but, if you let the drug dealers do whatever they want, you'll loose all the controll, imagine how much power they will gain, and since those cocksmokers are into money they will start making money in other ways too... guns, robberies, killing more competitors, more gansta gansta BS etc. etc. etc.

just make the drugs leagal and put a huge tax on em, I don't care if millions of idiots start killing themselves, at least there's more money coming in wich helps to do good things for the people who don't kill themselves.

Dunno, just never felt the need to drink or do drugs, it's one of those pointless things...i have been in crowds/friends company where they do do such stuff but i have never been tempted...it ruins your life i guess, and i have been told i am sensible........each to their own but just don't force me to do something i don't want....

Also where do you go? If you know anything about an addicit they have a personality where they can't control thier use. You eliminate Coke and there will be a whole new class of alcoholics and people stealing meds. It isn't like the addictive personality just goes away because thier drug of choice is gone. It takes more than that.
