Sad any way you look at it. Imus crossed the line but so many other people have it isn't even funny. How about the line by Whoppie Goldberg in Ghost where she looks at a Patrick Swazy pic and says "Nice for a white boy" For a white boy ? Whatever, way too many double standards.

My other opinion is I think Imus sucked. I would watch his show at times and he was just not entertaining. He wasn't funny in the least, hard to get a grasp on where he stood on issues and his voice sounded like he had something crammed down his throat.

I tell my kids they got a "nappy head" when they wake up in the morning or when they need their hair combed. My one son has fine hair and if he leans back in a recliner or on couch the back of his head gets all nappy....race never enters my mind

I suspect calling them "hos" had more to do with it than "nappy" and then it doesn't help when your sidekick immediately calls them "jigaboos," does it? There's not much to interpret here, if you ask me. It's plain as day.

It's pretty clear that what Imus and his sidekick said was in bad taste. I don't think anyone is disputing that. What everyone is irritated by is the double standard - because there is no fucking way a black DJ/talk show host would get fired for calling a white guy a honky or cracker.

My other peeve is the "African American" bullshit.
