One day I woke up at 4 in the morning, went to my kitchen for a glass of water, and there were Paul Coffey and Esa Tikkanen smoking a joint with one of my roommates. When I woke up the next morning, my roommate pretty much ruined himself. They had gotten so wasted that they crank called my roommate's hockey coach (college) and said some nasty stuff. Not only was he tossed from the team, but he was blackballed in the NHL (as a 2nd round draft choice).

    Thanks a lot Esa!!

Is it really Esa or Paul's fault? 3 guys from my high school team made the NHL draft, but nothing became of them after college, hockeywise that is, but your roomate could have said no, although I know I wouldn't have said no to hanging with those two guys. Coffey was the Bobby Orr of the 80's, early 90's.

only 2 players that I played on the same team made it to the NHL..Wayne Presely and Mike Donnelly. There's a bunch of players I played against and a lot from the area that made it tho Lafontaine, Hatcher bros, Modano, Iafrate etc etc.

Man, that buffalo / new york game was NUTS! Gotta love the fast-paced action.

And yeah, for some reason Buffalo did shit on the power plays... they got better chances at full strength, haha.

Peire McGuire got fucking owned too, hahaha. CBC > TSN anyday.

Wings -Sharks is gonna be a great game to watch, better than the devils -sens game. But that's just me.

You've got a fast freakin' scoring machine up there, but could the Sabres possibly burn out by the middle of the 3rd period, and hopefully the rangers get a lucky bounce here or there? We shall see. The sabres are better at full strength than when they're on a power play, it's really unbelieveable to watch.

We'll see what the Sharks can do tonight. My allegiance will always be to Detroit, especially with Hasek

both home teams lose tonite, let's hope that happens again tomorrow.
Brodeur got assaulted in the 1st period, and then they come back from 4-1 and then tank it way and lose 5-3. San Jose's defense is a lot better than I thought. detroit got goose egged. at home no less.

He didn't even get a sniff from the AHL. Wasn't signed. Al Arbour blackballed him. He never even had a cup of coffee. His former roommate, who was nowhere near the player he was, signed with the Oilers, played a few games, spent a few years in the NHL. As a matter of fact, it was because of his former roommate that Tikkanen and coffey stopped by that night. This was at Boston U, by the way.
