Tell me about Jim Jones

I lived in the SF Bay Area during that time so I was right on top of that. It trully was a sad story of a lot of downtrodden people trying to get out of Oakland and start a new life. To bad they chose a crazy person to lead them. Jim Jones had a persercution complex he should have kept to himself. But that doesn't seem to be the way these people work. It's way too involved. The documentaries on Jonestown are actually quite good.

+1 I watched it on PBS...really well done. There was a lot of actual footage from Jonestown. It was a tragic situation for sure. I see no humor in any part of what happened.

We have to use humor to deal with something like what happened back then. These types of incidents and what led up to them are so off our scales of what is rational that there is no real way to deal with them.

cult mass suicides are just another form of natural selection.
I cannot think of one negative thing about a bunch of idiots and delusional mental cases offing themselves.
