I noticed Target recently marked a bunch of their TV stuff for clearance and bringing in new stock. Probably not the brands you are looking at though, seems they cary a mix of major and cheapo.
Some of it is fairly substancial price cut when it hits 30-50% off but its very limited and hit or miss from store to store endcap blow out stuff.
Sometimes Sams will do the same.. again, hit n miss.
I would have no qualms buying from Newegg or Tiger, they have had great customer reviews and I've no issue with them on returns. You could try online price comparison sites like Shopzilla too.
