I didn't have specific questions about the VG Strat, I was just wondering if anyone here had one and how they liked it after living with it for a while. The VG-99 does so much more but its a bit complex if I'm going to run my other stuff live. Right now I have a Tone Bone Switchbone which I use to switch between my electric setup and acoustic California Blonde amp for when I use my EBMM Petrucci piezo, plus I run a GK-3 equipped Les Paul Studio into a Roland GR-33 guitar synth for some limited synth sounds. Adding a VG-99 and re-learning that thing is a bit too much. The VG Strat could cover a lot of ground for me. Ideally I would love a Floyded, piezo equipped, Roland ready guitar to cover everything but the Floyd/piezo setup is non-existant anywhere I've looked. The VG Strat might work for songs like Van Halen's Little Guitars where the intro and rest of the song are in different tunings. Twist a knob mid-song and keep playing! Yeah, I'm trying to convince my band to do Little Guitars live
