      Nice to hear. Good luck!

I'm taking the agility test on the 30th which should be no issue. I've taken them for another local suburban and passed strong.

They have already started me on the background investigation process. Seems they are in a hurry to get this class up and going.

Hopefully the background stuff goes ok. trying ot document 25 years of work history they are asking for is quite daunting considering they want exact dates, contacts and numbers etc. I really never paid attention to all the misc details of the crappy jobs I had in the 80s. Let alone some periods of time that my income was playing bars.

          Thanks man...

I'll be "happy" (as all hell), if I make it to the academy. I'll "very proud", the day my old ass graduates.

            Well, Update/thread resurrection....

Had my Physical Agility Test today and passed strong, 3:09 and the max allowed was 4:18. I was sucking air at the end pretty bad but I didn't keel over.

Guy fresh outta Iraq did 3:00, so I felt good. But He looked like it didnt hit him so hard. I still feel whipped. haha... Damn desk jobs made me lazy, haha...

Anyways. Got my background interview wednesday! Then on to a real physical/blood tests etc, that I should pass as I just did well 6 months ago on one.

            Smiling today tho...

Great job, John! I'm rooting for you!

With our healthy diets, passing that blood test should not be a problem. :p
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

Congrats John! Actually, this thread comes at a good time because lately I've been considering a career in law enforcement. $50K base salary? Why the heck not? Here, our base salary is $37K CANADIAN for our municipal force's 4th Constable rank!

Bill, post pics of the copstache/mohawk please.

Keep us updated on your progress... I'm interested in this field.

Thanks guys. I feel good about it so far. Blood test and physical I'm sure I'm good. I spose some other issues can still whack me tho. Just have to wait and see.

NOP, I'd generally prefer a profession that doesn't get me shot at. But, I really don't have a ton of options around here to make good money and have a secure retirement. Always wanted to be a cop, so, I guess now is the time. Good luck if you go for it. I feel it's a rewarding thing to do.

Here's the only one I have of his Mowhawk. Hope he don't mind.

Heheh, Bill looks like a guy Steven Seagall beat up in an 80s movie.

Cleve, congrats, good luck, and stay safe.

                            John, any recent news?

On Monday, I went to a recruiting information session held by my municipal force, the Ontario Provincial Police, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Definitely seems like something I wanna do.
