Congrats brother. I hope you make it all the way.

Remember this.............you will see things that will make you empty your lunch. You will see things that will piss you off so bad you want to utilize deadly force. You will want to cry and you will get disapointed in court. Everybody will hate you and want to be your friend. If it ever gets bad enough to where you need a councelor to talk to and they want to put you on a bunch of phsycotropic meds..........DON'T! You just need to talk about it. All the ugliness you will see on the street is always gonna be there reather you are a cop or not. It will always exsist and you alone will never get rid of it. You will never hit super hero status. Off duty you are a victim too. Don't be a hero, but always do your best and listen to your gut. The pistol on your side may be your own partner at times, but remember...........somebody loves that asshole at the end of your muzzle and that asshole is the system. Never trust anyone out there and never turn your back. I am writing this in tears actualy. I am a 12 year police vet myself. I am SWAT certified, Certified Police Instructor, Firearms Instructor and have worked local, federal and county agencies between NM and AZ. I've worked in all aspects of public service.........dog catcher, distpatcher, firefighter and even PR. I couldn't handle it all anymore and I had other reasons as well and just quit one day. I don't miss it at all, but I support lawenforcement because I went through what every rookie goes through and whatevery seasoned vet goes through. Guys like me and Bill have been there and done that. If you have the passion and the balls you will be fine. Good luck brother and be very carefull.

I'd mentioned this in Bills thread as I was gonna resurect this.

Well, bout 10 days ago, Cleveland Police knocked at my door to give me a personal congratulations, hand me a conditional offer of employment and entrance into the 124th Cleveland Police academy (upon meeting health & psych conditions) gave me handshakes, and a pat on the back.

Coming in he next week roughly, I have my Medical Exam, and then my Psych Exam. If I make it through those, I'm good to go see how I do in the Academy.

        I'm excited...

Good luck if you decide to do it man. I feel it's an honorable choice.

Sarj... Thanks so much for the words of encouragement bro. And, particularly the well heeded words of advice.

I've been through a lot in my life, watched people die in bad wasys, been shot at, held at gun point, and a lot of other shit, and feel I'll be "somewhat" prepared. But, I know it will be different.. Every day... Different.

Thanks for the great words man. They are appreciated most assuredly...

          I'll keep you all posted...

John, I think you'll recognize him.

Steve (buzzcut) is assisting Jeff here..My patner Bob is warning Jeff he'll get squirted..I was at the hosptial when this dude came off his buzz and couldn't believe WTF he was doing ..

I love the "maglite bop" technique..RIP bro.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

                      Yeah, you two look alike...

Went to my Police pysical tonight. Passed everything (vision, ekg, general physical, blood pressure, urine screen etc) and now have a Stress test (as if today wasn't enough stress), a Blood panel and probably drug testing at the hospital in the morning at 8.

                      Ugh..... Getting closer tho...

Hope I dont bomb the psych...

Wish I could act like I can hear! Took all my physical tests last night and this morn. Only thing I was down on was my hearing... Everything else I was worried about was fine. Hoping it flies... They stated moderate hearing loss, with the left ear (the ear I tend to put towards my amp) being more of the issue. But they said it was understandable for my age and profession...

I'm seriously on pins and needles right now to see if it goes through... The one thing I didn't even think of...
