Holy fack! Did anyone else know this dude could nail Perry? What are the chances your drummer is the guy who can nail the old stuff better than the vocalist! I thought Steve Augeri's voice was close, Soto does a good job too, but...Not this close.

I wonder how many people thought this was a pre recorded vocal track before they thought to look at the drummer

I'm not familiar with the music, but the singing was impressive. And I just thought he was that dude on that Cacophony album...

Holy Shit. It just goes to show you how great musicians were back in the 80's.

GREATNESS! I'm blown away! Journey was my favourite band, but I never knew Castronovo was capable of this! Thanks for posting the link. Unbelievable harmony vocals in that track! Is that Jeff Scott to the left of the drums?

Man, they guy can drum like a MoFo and sing that good too? Not fair...

I never knew he could sing like that. Wow. Impressive. Almost as impressive as his drum performance on Steve Vai's "Kill The Guy With The Ball"...

he's great, but journey needs steve perry back. steve, neal and jonathan are brilliant songwriters together and add castronovo into the mix they would be even greater. i guarantee they could get together next week
              and create a chart topper.

After that video, that's totally unnecessary!

Deen is kinda like Rod Morgenstein.... monster chops and ability to play very difficult polyrhythms but at the same heavy hitting hands and a lot of power.... rare combination

I think he was in Bad English and later Hardline with Neal Schon, so I'm bettin on that as the Journey connection. He sings as much of the backing vocals as anyone could - check out the Journey 2001 DVD. The guy's got talent!
