I've seen guys use the lighter gauges to remove, replace and repair auto glass. Recently somewhere..maybe over on the Hamer board..there was a posting where someone was making jewelry and bracelets out of old strings. There was even a link to a site and stuff.
I used to make jewelery out of some type of strings. They were similar to guitar strings, but they were just strings. Not instrument strings
After stabbing myself a few times I've learned to just wind the suckers up & throw them out. My cat loves playing with them too, but I'm always figuring that eventually she'll take one in the eye or something and it will end up with a trip to the vet.
Sometimes I forget that I knocked an e string off the table and step on it or something and get it in my foot. That shit sucks. I have learned to just toss them right away so I don't injure myself later. Can I toss them in with my regular recycling stuff or will I get bitched at when the recycling man takes the sharp end through the hand after it rips open everything?
