Anyone know of any good artists that aren't too overpriced that can do really good logos? I''ve been looking for awhile and nothing seems to catch my eye. Anything helps!
My Main Rig:

Peavey KB100 amp
Ibanez SM7 Smashbox
Others:

'89 Kramer 700ST Bass
What I've seen of Tony Koehl's work is really good. My band has worked with Tim Boughton from Dissonance Studios in the past, who happens to be a friend of mine from many years ago. Normally I would suggest talking with him, but I know that he's backlogged right now and has a kid on the way.
(Besides, I don't want him taking on new work until the new Under Eden logo is done!)
Yeah, $100 for a logo is really pretty cheap. You can easily spend up to (or even over) $400 for a single logo from a quality artist.
Better to save up than to settle though. A logo really is a defining element of your band and can really help you if it rocks or kill you if it sucks, like it or not.
I'm a graphic designer. Went to college and got a BS degree. I teach the subject and am very well paid for what I do. If someone is offering their services for super cheap then they are hurting the industry and competing on price, not quality. I have my own ideas of quality and have worked along side some legends in the design/illustration industry. I have yet to see anyone offering cheap work consistently that is of high quality.
If you like what you're getting, that's cool. I'm somewhat of a snob when it comes to this stuff though
