    It looks like he's picking with a windshield ice scraper... I should try that.

    That was kinda cool for sure. It is interesting to hear traditional music from other countries.

        Ah Ron this does me Proud to see you posted this, I have been a big fan of both instruments for along time. I have some CD's from the Yoshida Brothers myself, I love Japanese music. Taiko is kinda my Favorite, but the Shamisen is such a cool instrument when you know how to shred on one.

            I have a shamisen. Actually, mine is the okinawan version so it is a bit different and locally it is called a sanshin. Mine looks exactly like the on in the wikipedia photo. I really dig it. It isn't hard to play, but finding music that I can read is pretty difficult.
