  • what gauge strings do you guys use

I go between 9's and 10's usually on 25.5" scale necks and pretty much stick to 10's on 24.75" necks.

Tonally I really don't hear the difference between them but I tend to like the feel of super slinky 9 gauge and 10 gauge the best.

    U?

            I used to swear by D'addario 10-46's. I now use Slinky 9-42's.

GHS Boomer (GBXL) 9-42's on everything except my strat and LP. They get (GBL) 10-46's.

Ernie Ball 10's on everything these days. An occasional bout with some 9's, but not very often...

9-42 or 9-46 for electrics. 12s or 13s for my baritone tuned Strat. 11s or 12s for acoustics.
