    Belladonna for me.

How in the name of HELL is Taylor going to sing with an 80's castrated voice that Anthrax' music begs for?
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

      They need Neil Turbin back!

I've always liked Joey and loved John, but Corey can really sing, also, so it wouldn't be bad.

I am a fan from the Spreading era as well and to me Joey was the man. Corey is really into comics, horror movies, and the like which Benante and Ian are also into. I think that combo could make some great stuff. I wonder if Bello and Spitz are going along for the ride this go round.

Joey was ready to do a new record, but Scott and Charlie wouldn't give him any of the financial details, told him they'd tell him if they thought he needed to know.

If you're not even privy to the details of the record deal, then you're not really in the band, are you?

So you can't blame Bush or Belladonna for not wanting to get shafted by Scott and Charlie. But this will be a plus for Anthrax anyway, they'll pick up a lot of Slipknot and Stone Sour fans for this record at least.

It'll probably be like Dime on the Stomp 442 album. Corey's bailing them out and giving them a chance to regroup and find a permanent singer. An album and a tour would help them out a lot.
          Ron is the MAN!!!!

Well, I don't blame them about the deal with Joey. He bailed on them and the fans the last time they got back together and did the dual singer tour (for that greatest hits album where they put out the Ball of Confusion cover with both he and John singing). He was greedy and wanted more money, then just took off in the middle of the tour, from what I remember.

Corey is 33. Scott and Charlie are 43 & Dan is 44. Purely looking at age, that's not that big of a difference to really matter IMO.

I don't know if Dan will be with them. Theres a report that he's working on a solo album. From what I remember reading, Scott slammed him pretty hard after the reunion tour. So I doubt that this will include Spitz...

I'm not talking literal age. I'm talking the dudes in Anthrax are old and play in a metal band -- one of the most prominent and influential ones of the 80s/early 90s.

Slipknot is a joke of a band that cannot play 21+ shows because it immediately eliminates 90% of their fan base. They play juvenile music for juvenile kids. Why Anthrax would want to hook up with a dude who is in a hot topic band is beyond me.

It's the equivalent of Black Flag dudes still being around and starting a band with some guys from Good Charlotte.

                      Tell me why.

PS. Weak to call me an idiot and then edit it out.

I agree with Bengal. I'm 34 and have loved Slipknot since their first album. They're heavy, write good music, can really play their instruments, and Corey can sing any style pretty well when he wants to.

OK, your an idiot... Feel better? Yep, I edited it out to keep the mods off my ass but there it is, your an idiot...

Why? Slipknot is not a nu metal band. They are straight metal. Don't believe me? Go back and listen to "Iowa". One of the best metal albums to come out in the last 10 years. Their look may tend to be flocked to by the mall crowd but there are many, many Slipknot fans over the age of 21...

Umm. that would be "You're" as in "you are".

"Iowa" one of the best metal albums in ten years huh?

                            Hehehe... ok...

Thanks for the lesson, I'll try to remember it next time but don't lose sleep over it...

I think it is. I give the reader some room to understand anytime you say "one of the best" anything, it's all opinion. Maybe I shouldn't do that...

I loved the first album, couldn't get into Iowa as much for some reason. I even like the third album better. Maybe I just need to listen to it a lot more.
