I don't think he's asking why the disclaimer on the front page, but rather why is there another Jackson forum.

Short answer: that place was started by/is populated mostly by

people who got banned from here/people who want a less restrictive forum

Wow, that's pretty petty of them....

            How is it petty?

            They both serve their purpose.

What's petty is people getting their undies in a twist because another forum exists.

I know you're a poster there, but I still think that "flaming" (their words not mine) other forums, this one in particular, is petty.

But enough words have been spilled on this subject, forgive and forget.

I was just uninformed and was wondering what the deal was, no harm...

We're all just big boys (with toys) and flaming is a part of almost every communication. I don't think flaming is the core ingredient of jacksonforums.com anyways, or any other alternative forum for that matter.

Like Ron said, there are people there, who cannot post here anymore (for whatever reasons) and why shouldn't they vent and socialize at another place? The drama will fade and maybe a new and nice Jackson Charvel forum will arise...who knows.

The heavy "europeanization" that the JCF has gone through the last 2-3 years (nothing wrong with that. IMO), could also be the reason for J/C forum alternatives to pop up.

There are 5 Jackson / Charvel forums right now, and they all seem to have a niche...
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Exactly my point... let it go.
Life's too short to really waste energy on it.

Is that $1.05 before or after taxes?
