And as for the ending - what if it's us, the audience that got whacked. Everyone keeps quoting Tony and Bobby on the lake about how you don't hear it coming and how it just goes black. Well, the audience really didn't see the black screen and silence.

I think the finale succeeded in doing what every stage/screen show tries to do - it made everyone feel something. Speaking from a stage background - you don't have to like it, but you have to feel something. You succeed as an actor/writer/director if your audience leaves with a strong feeling, strong emotion about what they just saw. This will be an ending talked about for a long time. Everyone feels strongly - they either love it or hate it - there's not really a lot of "eh, it's ok" kind of reactions.

For the most part, people dig "closure." After watching the ending, I felt like I had been cheated after all these seasons. If I wanted to speculate, I'd watch the stock market channel.

7 years to end with trouble parrallel parking, and AJ woofing down onion rings and driving a high end benz for according to him getting coffee and doing errands and then just black. I'm not asking for Uzi's delivering deadly bullets to see who's the last standing but, how about something similar to "things to do in Denver when you're dead"- when they're all having boat drinks in the end after they've been taken out, hell there would have been a crowded boat.

I thought it was quite good. I kind of like ambiguous endings, so maybe its just me. Chase really strung us out on this one, using every trick in the book to make us think Tony was just about to get it! And maybe he did...

I think that was a great way to end the show, and sometimes it can be frustrating when something ends like that but then you end up thinking about it more if the end is left to your imagination.
