Since you usually buy cheap, inexpensive guitars, what do you use for an amp? IMO, if you've got a cheap amp, it really isn't going to matter all that much what pickup you put in. Might as well just keep the stock pickup in there.

Bareknuckle and Swinesheads are supposed to be pretty good. Both are British so a set might cost more than any of your guitars.

You could always try a Mighty Mite Motherbucker. They're pretty cheap too. I think they're around 21k. That's pretty hot.
