I've just turned 35. So this is what I've got to look forward to in 4 years time?

You can hang in the moshpit still?

Just to be clear, they are playing on an open field with no seating. I imagine it will look something like that video.

I don't do mosh pits! I'll be 35 next month. I've only been in one mosh pit, and it was a small one, when I was like 16.

the venue they played here was standing room only. Not sure of the capacity, but I believe it's around 2500-3000 bodies, no seats. So it probably won't ever get as crazy as an open air venue. But yea, I can hang in there if I feel up to it.

fwiw, I am 6'4, around 220lb, and ugly as a hatfull of arseholes. I don't catch too much grief in there. The ones that amaze are some of the tiny chicks that charge into the pit - 4'9 & 50lbs dripping wet - talk about crazy!

Thanks for that link. I never have much patience for watching that stuff on my computer, so I downloaded that file and burned it to DVD. Now I can sit back on the sofa and watch it in my home theater. Picture on a 46" screen is not very good, but passable.
