      Dysons are $$$ though. I've never understood spending huge amounts of money on a vacuum cleaner.

            We have a cheapo Bissel that we got at Walmart. I think it was $40. It does the best job of any vacuum I've ever used. That's all it does though; no accessories except for the crevice tool.

              the trick with the washable filter vacs is have two filters, so you are always good to go,,

                wish it were that simple...these companies take out the vacuum cleaners after a year of their production or something and you end up paying through your nose for replacement parts. My VC is a little over 2 years old, maybe 3 and the HEPA filter for it is available only in one online place and costs $60 + shipping. Yes, I can get a brand new VC for that price.
