              Dear Lori,

I'm so glad that you are reading these messages to Donny!
I think that he is hearing them and knows that we are all pulling with him and rockin' with him.
Donny - you're a sweet motherfucker with a giant heart who deserves the world.

              Luv,
              Emmy

Donny's best friend Luke sums it up best...

Please read Lori's comment to the blog as well.

Here's my 2 cents about Donny. I never heard him complain about his situation...well, he might have complained about hospital food and incompetent nurses poking him with needles in the wrong place lol...but never about the shitty hand life dealt to him. Nor did I ever see him afraid or angry. Not only that, he went out of his way to make you feel comfortable around him even though there was that elephant in the room that no one wanted to talk about. He especially didn't want to be a burden to his mother Denise. She told me that Donny never wanted to talk about it with her. I'm guessing because he didn't want her to suffer more than she had to. Balls of steel, heart of a lion, kindness of a saint. And you know what? Probably his only wish was for something you and I take for granted every day...to just wake up healthy and feeling ok. Well, in lieu of that, he did the next best thing, he lived his life to the fullest.

Donny, I'm a hell of a lot older than you, but you're the one who taught me about life. And I know I'm talking about you in the past tense, and I hope to God that you make me feel like an idiot for doing so, but whatever the outcome, I'll catch you later in this life or the next.

Donny had a Seahawks player (Leonard Weaver) call for him. My mom relayed all he said to him and he said he'd pray for him and keep in touch with us.

See, this is why he likes the Seahawks! They're wonderful, really.

                      • Lori, since you're reading messages to him, Can you ask him where the hell my tacos are?

I'm truly going to miss him. I would have loved to hang with him at another NAMM.

One of the funniest quotes on the JCF ever:

"Any time I even go to a church parking lot I feel dirty, I had to go home and have sex and play slayer afterwoards"
