  • Ok, enough is enough

Ya know, I can tolerate a few of those "Paid Programing" spots here and there, but lately it's on almost every damn channel after 2:00am and usually till well after 12 noon on Sundays. These are frekin channels I pay for.

If you aren't interested in the latest device to slice a frekin onion or new device to suck up the leftover Cherios on the damn floor that for some reason they seem to think they can convice you your trusty Hoover won't get on the back side of that table leg, there ain't much to watch....

I am going to put a bounty on the damn Billy Mays.

Even my regular news channel, Fox has stooped low and I have to tolerate the dribble there as well....

Saturdays are no better. When I was a kid, we never had cable TV, but I could always find plenty of cartoons to watch on Saturday mornings. Well, I was up early last Saturday morning, and decided to flip through my 50+ channels of quality TV.

Nothing. Not one damned cartoon. Infomercials, cooking shows, home redecorating shows . . . no cartoons to be found. Not even on Cartoon Network! It was a dark day.

Really? I've never had commercial free cable. The first time I ever had cable was in 1983.
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

Well, I'm referring to things like showtime, HBO. They never had commercials. Now they're saturated.

I even remember when there weren't much in the way of commercials on Discovery (other than adds for their own stuff). Same thing for the Learning Channel.

I'm particularly hating the continous adds that go on at the bottom of the screen on everything any more.. Drives me mad.

Yeah, but the girls gone wild infomercials on Spike TV and Commedy Central are at least worth a watch once in a while.

I remember way back when, "ON-TV" that had a converter box you could hack. Was that commercial free?

I don't get it. You pay for the cable/Direct TV, so why all of the commercials? Are they really that F'ing greedy? I don't need to answer that do I.

Those are the ones I don't mind here and there but the rest have got to go. We shouldn't be paying for this horseshit.

Well that onion chopping thing is pretty cool...not that I have one....

But yeah, I agree. Cable TV should be commercial free. But then again, then they couldn't fit 20 minute shows in 30 minute blocks....

XM radio should be commercial free as well , but I guess that's off topic so I'll STFU now.

I have one. It doesn't work as good as it does on the infomercial...but it does chop my onions, so it was worth the $9.95 or whatever I paid (actually got it in an outlet mall).

Usually any time saved with those devices is wasted in cleaning them.
