In case you don't know any better (being from Estonia and all), this is America. Just about everything done here is a sellout.

I haven't seen it yet, but from the trailers and seeing Bruce on Letterman talk about it, it's supposed to be ridiculously over the top.
Bruce said they wanted to just throw everything they could think of at McClain.
But they should not cut out or cover up " Yippie ki ay mother fucker.".
That's just lame.-Rick

I agree with CGI movies and things getting way too over the top.
Compare the first Star Wars movies to the CGI ones. It leaves something to be desired.
I also like movies where it could at least be pausible. These over the top movies are just too much. We aren't children, don't give us a "cartoon reality" movie.

why don't you guys discuss after you have seen it.... c'mon... it's not bad.... it's not the best Die Hard.... but it's pretty fucking cool.... I hate over the top shit and all that CGI crap... but it's not as bad as you think
it's kinda silly to bash some movie because it's PG-13 instead of R or NC-17.... c'mon.... these are just stupid labels
if you want sellout ... then check out lord of the rings movies... they made elves and fags like that seem "cool""There is nothing more fearful than imagination without taste" - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

These are good movies, but they have never had any artistic pretensions. They were always about making a buck, so I wouldn't say that this is a sellout."It's hard to be enigmatic if you have to go around explaining yourself all the time"

I never said the movie sucked, I haven't seen it yet.
However,
I did say it's a sellout to take the TRADEMARK LINE and dismiss it from the movie by covering it up with "noise" to "protect" all those innocent 16 year olds watching it.
That's total B.S.

Not to mention I want to see an adult movie, not some watered down kiddie movie. I'm so sick of this shit. Just give me a real movie for a change and not some over promoted, half written story like everything else we get (i.e. See how they destroyed Pirates after the first one...).
lifes too short to get wound up over a movie rating of PG-13 vs Rshawnlutz.com

the trademark line was loud and clear when I saw it in the cinema"There is nothing more fearful than imagination without taste" - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Maybe I'm going off the actual point here a bit but I think Hollywood has gotten pathetic these days. What are the big movies? Spiderman 3, Pirates 3, Shrek 3, Harry Potter 4 (I think), Die Hard 4. I hear there is a new Batman & Hulk, come on. Where does it end. Oh I forget Indiana Jones 4. Hollywood just runs with sequels, any new movie is just a remake of an old one. With the exception of Transformers I haven't been excited to see a new movie in a long time. I just can't get over the amount of people who go "aww cool the new whatever." "yeah whatever 5". It really drive me nuts. Movies to me are like the radio, we will eagerly swallow what ever they tell us to. Give us something new!!!!!
Ok rant over forgive me slight of topic-ness.........by the way i agree about covering up the yippie line.

I'm going by the review at movies.com...
"One Beef: It's a limit-pushing PG-13. And you can tell if you look carefully, because they clearly shot an R-rated and then chopped out all the bullets to the head and did some sloppy voice rerecording to clean up all the F-bombs. And in any other movie that wouldn't matter so much, but this is a Die Hard movie. You can only truly die hard when something is rated R. Worst of all — and this does, in fact, count as a spoiler — there's no "Yippee-ki-yay, motherf----r." He says it, and it gets bleeped with noise. HOW CAN YOU HAVE A DIE HARD MOVIE AND CUT OFF THAT CHARACTER-ESTABLISHING WORD? Like you needed more evidence of studio greed and soullessness, but there it is anyway. Now you can bring your four-year-old to see it."
