Want to play Harmonica...

So I allways wanted to play harmonica but there is something I just don't get. I what key should I buy it? I didn't realyze that you could get it in any key... I basicly wan't to play some harmonica parts from rock and blues sonds, from Zeppelin to Satriani what would be the one to get?

I'm not sure how much help this is, but I play a little. I discovered that a A440 "G" Marine Band allows me to play standard songs that I am familiar with. I also have a Blues Harp, that I will get the hang of one of these days. I get mine at the fleamarket for around $5 each.

start with a 4th above the key you're playing, so if your song is in 'E', get an 'A' harp.

Am I the only one who thinks it's a bit gross to buy a harmonica at a flea market? I mean, loads of people might have sucked that thing and who knows what they've had in their mouths. It's not like you're buying a Marshall stack or something here. A brand new one isn't all that expensive.

If you really want to play every key, why not just get a chromatic harmonica?
