Man, you have a selective memory. As I recall it, WE were frothing at the mouth to go into Iraq. I seem to remember Colin Powell in front of the UN General Assembly? And since when do WE consider the UN our authority on any decisions to send our troops into harm's way? We went in because Cheney, Wolfowitz, et. al. drew the plans up as part of an overall democratization policy for the middle east. No one is responsible for getting us into Iraq other than this administration and the spineless Congress who rubber stamped it.

So was it a good decision? Over 3000 killed? And 10's of thousands of Iraqi's? For what? Wtf did we accomplish there? Our troops have to patrol that shit hole just waiting to get shot at or blown up by an IED. For what? Because we, the USA, were compelled to enforce an arbitrary UN resolution? For fuck's sake, go spin that fiction to a dead soldier's mom.

I heard on the news that he wasn't convicted of exposing the CIA agent, just obstructing the investigation or something like that. If that is true then I think the $250K fine, 2 years probation, and loss of his ability to practice law is probably punishment enough.

Sunni vs Shiite vs Kurd vs whatever - it's like Pentecostals attacking Baptists, and makes as little sense.

If they're free enough to go back to their ignorant savage tribal wars, it's time for us to go home, because that's not what we went there to do. Yes there are still Al Qaeda and other terrorists there, but they've backed off and moved enough of their people out that we can leave. Whatever they were looking for in Iraq when they were fighting us hot and heavy, they've found (WMDs), and they've left behind a smokescreen squad to cover their escape. They attack the troops as a distraction as well as the old "drive the White Devil off our land" routine, but I guarantee you the heads we're looking to cut off are back in their safehouses in France, Germany, and South America.
I agree. So this administration deserves our eternal thanks for a fantabulous job on the war on terror.

Give a hand to Carter for the whole Islamic mess starting on his watch (Iranian hostage crisis anyone?) and a hand to Clinton for showing enemies around the world that we'll fold and run if our nose gets bloodied like in Mogadishu. Oh, and a standing O for Clinton, since he did let the Chinese have all sorts of military technology.

Politicians in general suck, I just tend to believe that the republicans suck a little less.

You're right, I should look to the US and its abundant shores to quench my thirst for justice and morality.

What exactly were you preaching about? No one was questioning the fact that the law should be served and justice should be done. Are you going to deny the unmistakenable degrees of punishments which are INHERENT to the law, for it is the principle by which it actually FUNCTIONS? If so, what do you want, the noose for everyone who steals a candybar?

You managed to piss off pretty much the rest of the world in a single post. I'd say that's fairly symptomatic for the flag you're sailing under and truly irony at its best.

It'll cost me 10k just to immigrate to Canada to show I can support my own while I look for work. That and there's a waiting list, it takes about 2yrs to get accepted if I recall..

How about you simply THANK US for bailing your ass out of every war you've ever been in for a start.

You probably would not even be alive today if not for the United States soldiers who died liberating your tiny, weak country.

Beyond that it should be plainly obvious you have absolutley NO RIGHT ...moral or otherwise to comment on what goes on politically in MY country.

As for pissing off the rest of the world...heh...if they are so mad at us then maybe they can give us back ALL of our tax dollars we send them so that they can live a little better/ longer.

On second thought...a simple thanks would be ok...but I'm not holding my breath.

Then why don´t you just stop commenting on other countries. This whining attitude that the world is so bad because no one around does what you want them to do is a real weak standpoint.

That's true. Basically he didn't recall a sequence of events and dates in precisely the same way on a couple of different occasions. This thing was a political witch hunt from the word go but everyone in DC knows that they might get sucked into these sorts of things so I don't have a huge amount of sympathy.

Oh please, the WW I & II card has gotten way past its due time. We were more than grateful and you got to enjoy the biggest economic growth in decades and got to spread your economic imperialism across Europe. Which probably happened to be biggest incentive to join in the war in the first place, that and staving off the USSR.

How about you thank us for helping you gain independance in the first place? Same game, it's getting old...

Now if you'd be so kind as to step off your ignorant pedestal and actually give a valid argument or two, if not I implore you to stop using words you obviously haven't got a single clue about. I get on my high horse when people start preaching about morality and legality in a know-it-all manner without even seemingly knowing what they're on about. So don't get me wrong, my qualms aren't with the US (though I don't agree with the way it's being ran), my qualms aren't with US citizens in general, my qualm is with YOU and your abrassive attitude, nothing else.

I have my views on worldpolitics and why shouldn't I? Is that any reason to just start telling off what amounts to the entire rest of the world?

Carter? Hardly. The PLO started in the mid 60's. They killed some Brits very early on and blew up a plane or two before Israel started taking some preemptive strikes. Robert Kennedy's assassin was associated with a number of Islamic groups including the PLO. Islamic terrorists bombed the US Embassys in Jerusalem. There were a lot of other attacks in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, England, France, etc. and other US consulates and military bases around the world. We still haven't exited the 60's at this point.

The Bush family has been dealing with the Bin Ladens since the mid-70's (also before Carter) - W likes to claim he didn't know - tcha, like he didn't know who the major share holders were in the company that he was CEO of and bailed his company out because he couldn't run it. Oh, and let's not forget Reagan arming Iraq. Why did Bush help some of the Saud's and bin Laden's family escape the US right after 9/11?

Sure, the Democrats suck. But if you think the Republicans suck less, you are sadly mistaken.

NONE OF THESE BASTARDS IS WORTH A FLYING FUCK.

If you believe that Bush has done anything to thwart terrorism you are sadly mistaken. The world is a much more volatile place than it was before his so-called "war on terror". There are terrorist attacks and thrwarted attacks on a continuing basis. Our allies are getting attacked. Americans are dying around the world. It has never stopped.
